The formula
There is no single official mapping — every phone OEM tunes its own bar thresholds. The table below reflects commonly cited RSRP tiers (close to AOSP's defaults) for LTE/5G, and a comparable RSSI scale for 2G/3G. Treat it as a reference, not a promise: your phone's own bars can legitimately disagree.
